Finally i got my toys to convert my Macbook Pro laptop hard drive into a "Fusion Drive", it really works and it is worth the time spent. This is what it buy on amazon:
- The SSD, the fastest part of my new fusion drive: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009NB8WR0/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A5NGTWX0QUPDH
- The Hard Drive Caddy, where the old hard drive goes after been replaced: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009FWRZDY/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3CFTGPNICL2HK
- The DVD drive slot, where the removed dvd drive goes after been removed: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005RFOJT6/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3HDZ91DLL5YJC
So, to get it done you have to:
1) Make an external drive time machine backup
2) Open your macbook pro in order to: remove the actual hard drive and put the new SSD instead, remove the dvd drive and put the hard drive cady instead, on the cady you put the old hard drive. Some steps at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_vk2wKwmzg
3) Put your dvd drive onto the new drive slot to make it an external unit.
4) Boot your Macbook Pro with the external drive time machine backup, remember to hold "option" key
5) At the recovery boot screen click "Utilities" menu and select "Terminal", then use the command diskutil list to list your real drives, at this step your SSD disk should be disk0 and your old hard drive should be disk1
6) Create the new fusion logical volume, use this command: diskutil coreStorage create FusionVolume disk0 disk1 , please take note at the end the new fusion logical volume UUID for the next step.
7) Create the new fusion disk, use this command diskutil coreStorage createVolume <fusion logical volume UUID> jhfs+ "Macintosh HD" 100%
8) Now you have your fusion drive ready, close terminal and proceed to restore everything from your time machine backup.
9) When everything restored as it was, and your OS is ready, you can optionally encrypt your drive using FileVault from your preferences security pane.
Thats all, at the end your about shold say that you have a fusion drive with the size of your old drive plus the size of your SSD drive:
